 Oceanside
The Harriet & Robert H. Heilbrunn Early Childhood Center of the Friedberg JCC is specially designed for children, ages birth to five years. Under the direct supervision of our warm, qualified staff, our school prepares your child for formal education in a loving, nurturing environment.
The Early Childhood program consists of state-of-the-art classrooms (each with "child sized" bathrooms), an art studio, computer center, library, indoor swimming pool, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The JCC offers a renowned nursery school, high quality full day care, Parent & Me classes, after-school enrichment classes, parenting workshops and family services.
Whether the activity is cooking, Mitzvah units, Sleepy Time Shabbat or holiday celebrations, we strive to foster a positive feeling in every child for Jewish culture. Every classroom features IBM Young Explorer Computers!
Our facility is fully-licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and our teaching staff continually participates in staff development through educational training courses throughout the year. Your child is safe and happy in an organized program of activities.
 Long Beach Branch
Welcome to the Abraham Sonabend Early Childhood Center, more than just a school... a total life experience for your child! Children enjoy the benefits of a warm, nurturing atmosphere and are encouraged to develop their own special interests and to reach their highest ability levels. Our facility boasts computers, music, movement and indoor & outdoor play areas.
Our staff strives to interact with each child in a positive manner. Using music, movement, puppets, and art & literature, we encourage children to explore new things while finding their own personal form of expression.
Computer software in our classrooms promotes sharing and the development of social skills as well as an increased familiarity with technology. These systems help us engage children in socialization, reading readiness and creativity.
Our hours are very convenient for working parents and transportation is available. Children may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. and picked up as late as 6:30 p.m.
We provide snacks throughout the day and a rest period for our full day children. Nutritious Kosher lunches are available at a small additional charge.
 Merrick/Bellmore Branch
The Friedberg JCC Merrick/Bellmore Branch Nursery School offers innovative programming for children birth to five years.
In our Early Childhood program each classroom is viewed as a “homeroom” with each class leaving throughout the day to participate in a wide variety of enrichment activities. Enrichment activities may include bike room, body movement and aerobics, music, lending library, computers, Judaic and Shabbat celebrations and playground. Enrichment activities offer our pre-schoolers a stimulating variety of activities that are so important to the sound development of young children.
Our excellent, nurturing staff guide the children through activities designed to enhance their social and academic development in a warm and gentle way.
Our facility is fully-licensed by the NYS Office of Children & Family Services and our staff participates in year-round educational training courses.
